1. Why buy a pass:
Purchasing a pass for The Pekoe Trail is vital to enhance the visitor experience, sustain trail operations, and ensure safety. Proceeds from Pekoe Trail passes will be allocated toward maintaining standardized systems for visitor support, Trail management & maintenance, ensuring communities along the Trail benefit from visitor contributions, and conservation efforts along the Trail. These measures will ensure that the Trail maintains its standard of service abiding by its nature-friendly, sustainable tourism principles, and does not contribute to mass tourism.
2. Purchase of the Trail Pass:
Purchasing a Trail Pass grants authorized access to the Pekoe Trail. Those without Trail Passes will be denied entry and may face legal action. Each Trail Pass will be valid for a specific stage of The Pekoe Trail on the specific date for which it was booked. A User may purchase a Trail Pass on behalf of another person or group of persons, including children, provided these persons also are aware of and understand these Terms and ensure strict compliance with the same. Trail passes, however, are non-transferable.
3. Hiking Guidelines and Prohibited Activities:
All users must adhere to the Hiking Guidelines while hiking along The Pekoe Trail to mitigate exposure to inherent risks. Additionally, users should refrain from engaging in Prohibited Activities to safeguard and maintain the integrity of The Pekoe Trail and its surrounding environment.
4. Liability:
We will not be able to guarantee your safety. In this respect, you will at all circumstances accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury you may suffer as a result of the Inherent Risks you may have to encounter when traversing along The Pekoe Trail.
5. Governing Law:
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes or claims related to these Terms or associated matters will be resolved according to Sri Lankan law.
